Mecanto - Android App Software Download apk

In a market that is soon to be (and in some places like the US, already is) saturated in online streaming and music services, I had the opportunity to test out MeCanto and see if it has set itself apart from the rest. With Apple, Amazon, and even Best Buy all vying for a chance to store your music and offer streaming services, there are other alternatives out there – and some of them work very well on tablets of any kind. MeCanto is not region-based like Amazon and Google Music, and it offers unlimited storage for your music, for a minimal monthly cost. It’s actually one of the cheaper products out there, and from what I’ve seen while testing, it’s a fairly solid solution. It offers similar features to the other “unlimited” products, GrooveShark and Rdio, with less cost. Among the devices I tested on were two Archos-based tablets, one with Android 1.6 and one with 2.1. Both worked very well. MeCanto slips into landscape mode right from launching it, and looks pretty good in it. The smaller of the two devices has very little memory in it, and I had to kill all the processes running in order to get it to stream music smoothly. This can be said of any older devices with little memory though, and not just with music apps. The other two devices were HTC based, the Desire and Desire HD. Both streamed music without any problems whatsoever, which is to be expected from fairly new phones. The buffer can sometimes take a second or two to fill, but most of the time streaming is seamless.
